TableTalk Discussion Time Returns Sunday Afternoon

Our next Sunday afternoon discussion session will be on Sunday, March 11th, at the Butterfield’s residence, beginning at 4:00p.m. Each month, we focus on one of the articles from the previous month’s Table Talk. This time our article will be, “The Problem Of Forgiveness,” on page 4 of the February Table Talk. These discussion sessions have proven to be a good time of growth and fellowship. Plan to come and bring a little finger food.

Dorcas Project For March: Piedmont Women’s Center

The Dorcas Ministry project for March is the Piedmont Women’s Center. Donations will be collected on March 18. This March, our Dorcas Committee will be gathering items for “Bundles of Joy,” Piedmont Women’s Center’s gift packets for new moms. Items needed include:

Sleepers
Baby Lotion
Receiving Blankets
Onesies (long & short-sleeved)
Baby Towels/Washcloths
Bibs
Baby Wash
Baby Shampoo
Baby Socks/Booties
Newborn Outfits
Stuffed Animals (small; no parts that could be pulled off)
Newborn Hats and Caps
Pacifiers
Combs and Brushes
New BPA-free Bottles
Newborn Diapers
Baby Wipes

From the PWC’s literature:

The purpose of these gifts is to encourage those mothers who courageously triumph through difficult economic or emotional circumstances. These gifts are not a mere handout, but a word of encouragement at an emotional point in their lives. As they welcome their infant to their family this “Bundle of Joy” helps them recognize that someone in the community cares about them personally and wants to help their baby.

The Truth Project Returns To NGC!

This spring, the Church is going to present The Truth Project on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m., starting on Wednesday, March 28th.  We will show a 52-minute video, followed by a question and answer time based on hand-outs. The DVDs will be shown on the big screen in the Camellia Room. The following is a description from the project’s website, thetruthproject.org:

The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprising  13 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This home study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.

The Woodlands is 100% behind this event and will be publicizing it, as the church will within the northern Greenville County area. Begin to think about some friends and neighbors that you could invite. We ran this series a few years back at the Travelers ARP mission, and it was very profitable and well received.
