Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting And Bible Study Continues

Join us on Wednesday evenings as we pray for our church and study God’s Word. We meet each week at 7:00 in the Orchid Room. Currently, we are studying the book of Romans and will be picking up with the last few verses of Chapter 14 and moving on to Chapter 15.

Dorcas Ministry Collection For April: Piedmont Women’s Center

The Dorcas Ministry focus for April is for The Piedmont Women’s Center. We will receive monetary donations on April 21. We will be participating in their “Baby Bottle Fund Raiser.” Bottles will be available on the table in the back.

Church Nursery Volunteers Sought

The church now offers a nursery for children from infancy through age 3 during morning worship. It is the intention of the Session to provide nursery attendants from congregational volunteers on a rotating schedule. If you will agree to assist, please contact Pastor Barron.

Q. 30. Doth God leave all mankind to perish in the estate of sin and misery?
God doth not leave all men to perish in the estate of sin and misery, into which they fell by the breach of the first covenant, commonly called the covenant of works; but of his mere love and mercy delivereth his elect out of it, and bringeth them into an estate of salvation by the second covenant, commonly called the covenant of grace.

The covenant of grace was made with Christ as the second Adam, and in him with all the elect as his seed.

Sunday School: This Sunday at 9:30am in the Camellia Room, we move ahead to Nehemiah 13, looking at how swiftly the fruits of the revival in Jerusalem withered away amidst the people’s embracing of foreign, pagan influence. We will look at relevant messages from this chapter to the church in our own time. Dr. Iain Duguid’s lesson in the Adult Quarterly is titled, “They Did Not Live Happily Ever After.” To get the full context, read Nehemiah Chapter 9 through Chapter 12.
