Barrons Named New Area Representatives For The Rafiki Foundation
The Rev. Bill Barron and his wife, Sissy, have been named as the area representatives for Rafiki Foundation. Rafiki Foundation trains teachers and runs Christian Classical Education schools in ten nations in Africa. Founded in 1989 under the leadership of Rosemary Jensen, then the driector of Bible Study Fellowship, Rafiki started in Tanzania and has grown to new be a major education arm in the continent of Africa, serving in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia.
The Rev. Barron serves as the pastor of North Greenville Church, meeting at The Woodlands at Furman. The church holds Sunday School, morning worship each Lord’s Day and a Wednesday evening Bible study on Wednesday at The Woodlands.

The Dorcas Ministry focus for April is for The Piedmont Women’s Center. We will receive monetary donations next Sunday, on April 21. We will be participating in their “Baby Bottle Fund Raiser.” Bottles are available on the table in the back.

Israel Sinfully Demands A King: The Bible tells us that God will often hand people over to sin when they pursue what they should not pursue. We should take care to do what the Lord approves of lest He allow us to wallow in our sin and cause much strife and destruction. (Tabletalk Magazine, April 20, page 42).

Sunday School: This Sunday at 9:30am in the Camellia Room, we move on to the post-exilic prophecy of Haggai, looking at how secular concerns overwhelmed the returnees, causing them to lose zeal in worshiping and drawing near to the God of Israel. We will look at how in the space of three weeks the people turned their hearts toward the Lord by means of Haggai’s prophetic preaching. Dr. Iain Duguid’s lesson in the Adult Quarterly is titled, “Consider Your Ways.” To get the full context, read all of Haggai Chapter 1.
