Bound For Joy Through Mercy And Grace
North Greenville Church is a Reformed and presbyterian fellowship serving Travelers Rest, SC, and northern Greenville County. We worship with reverence, preach the whole counsel of God, partake of the holy sacraments as Christ commanded and pledge accountability to God’s word in love. We are anchored in the historic confessional Reformed faith and practice a presbyterian form of government (rule by a plurality of elders who are Christ’s undershepherds).
By God’s providence, we are presently organized as an independent presbyterian church. Our beliefs are very similar to other conservative Reformed denominations in America, including the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC). We most closely identify with the doctrines and regulation of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARP). If you’d like more detailed information about our beliefs, you can read about it here or get in touch with our pastor.
How We Worship
We worship according to a historically Reformed worship directory that maintains a strong focus on the scriptures and simplicity, sincerity and reverence for God. Preaching, reading from the whole word of God (both the Old and New Testaments), prayer, and congregational singing are regular and important aspects of our corporate worship. You can find more details about our style of worship, including a sample bulletin, on this site, as well as recordings of our sermons.
Because of the lockdown/quarantine of The Woodlands at Furman and government recommendations on minimizing the pandemic, North Greenville Church has resumed activities at Westwood Baptist Church, 3821 Saluda Dam Road, Easley, SC, 29642. Our Wednesday Evening and Sunday afternoon in homes have resumed as well.
