Truth Project Resumes July 11

Wednesday evening, we return to The Truth Project, with a tour entitled, “The American Experiment: Stepping Stones.” The United States of America is unique in the history of the world. On these shores a people holding to a Biblical worldview have had an opportunity to set up a system of government designed to keep the state within its divinely ordained boundaries. Tour #10 follows the history of this experiment and explores what happens to freedom when God is forgotten. The session will be held in the Camellia Room at 6:30 pm.

Catechism Corner

Q. 32. How is the grace of God manifested in the second covenant?
A. The grace of God is manifested in the second covenant, in that he freely provideth and offereth to sinners a Mediator, and life and salvation by him; and requiring faith as the condition to interest them in him, promiseth and giveth his Holy Spirit to all his elect, to work in them that faith, with all other saving graces; and to enable them unto all holy obedience, as the evidence of the truth of their faith and thankfulness to God, and as the way which he hath appointed them to salvation.

Table Talk Moment

Misunderstanding Jesus: Jesus in His atonement secures peace with God for all those who have been justified by faith alone in Christ (Rom. 5:1). And now His church preaches the gospel as the only means of finding peace with God, looking to the day when Christ will return and consummate His kingdom of peace on the earth (Rev. 19).
