Dorcas Ministry July Project Honors The Memory Of Lucky Thomas

The Dorcas Ministry focus for July will be Cups Crossover Ministry in honor of Lucky Thomas. The goal of this ministry is to educate young girls and boys about the dangers of human trafficking and prostitution by teaching them life skills, English, and the love of Jesus. More information on the ministry can be found on its website. Our focus date for this project is this Sunday, July 15. Donations can be made to the North Greenville Church with a notation that it is for the Dorcas Ministry.

Catechism Corner

Q. 34. How was the covenant of grace administered under the Old Testament?
A. The covenant of grace was administered under the Old Testament, by promises, prophecies, sacrifices, circumcision, the passover, and other types and ordinances, which did all fore-signify Christ then to come, and were for that time sufficient to build up the elect in faith in the promised Messiah, by whom they then had full remission of sin, and eternal salvation.

Table Talk Moment

While There’s Still Time: This call to walk in the light right now continues to apply to us two millennia after Jesus’ earthly ministry. We cannot think that it will be easier to believe in Christ tomorrow than it is today. In fact, eventually–when we die–it will be too late to trust Jesus if we have not yet done so. Thus, all of us must believe the gospel today.  (Wednesday, July 11, page 44).
