This Sunday Pastor Barron brings a message from Hebrews 3:1-6 entitled “Christ-Greater than Moses”. The theme of this study in Hebrews is an emphasis on how the Scriptures authoritatively point to the supremacy of Christ.
Who is greater, a servant, or a son? When it comes to a household’s position, one is either ‘in’, or ‘over’…as in a house, much like a servant, or over a house, as an owner, or owner’s offspring. Moses was ‘in’ the house so to speak, as a servant of God; but Jesus is ‘over’ the house, and we can be certain of our position too: that God’s house (or temple) be made up of His people (I Sam 2:35; Eph 2:19-22). We as believers are identified with the temple, and by faith with Christ, the builder of the temple.
