Tonight at 7:00 in the Orchid Room at The Woodlands, Pastor Barron will teach us on the life of Mary and the theology surrounding her. What does it mean that she was “full of grace” and “blessed among women”? How could a woman with original sin bear the sinless Son of God–doesn’t David proclaim, “5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me” in Psalm 51? Was Mary a virgin her entire life? What happened to her, body and soul, at her death? Does she have any existential role now?

Community Carol Sing December 21: Woodlands Camellia Room
Next Wednesday, December 21st at 7:00 pm, in place of our weekly Bible Study, we are hosting a Christmas Carol Sing for the residents of the Woodlands. This will be “an everyone participate” event. It is just one way we want to say thanks to them for the generous use of this facility.

Christmas Baskets: The Steering Committee is going to put together a few Christmas Baskets for shut-ins, etc. Due to the special needs of these individuals, we ask that you participate in the special “love offering” which will be received next Sunday, December 18th, rather than donating food items. Elder Training: Starting in January, we will have four classes for elder training which will lead up to the election of our first elders for the church. All of the men of the church (this both members and non-members) are invited and encouraged to be a part of these classes. Topics for the four sessions will be qualifications for the office of elder, the call to the office, the work of the elder and the session and the Westminster Confession of Faith.
